September 18th , 2019, 5th French National Air Quality Day. Air quality is one of the first environmental concerns of the French.

The health effects of Air Pollution are recognized. In France, air pollution is responsible for 48,000 premature deaths a year, according to the French National Public Health Agency. All sectors of activity, industries, transport, residential, agriculture… contribute to this air pollution. It is therefore now essential that all, at the level of the State, Communities, Enterprises, and Citizens, make efforts and change our behaviour in order to breathe the healthiest air possible.

Air quality has a major impact on our health and the environment. Regarding our health the effects can be immediate or long term (respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancers …). It should be noted that the indoor air we breathe is 5 times more polluted than the outside air. And we spend on average 90% of our time in confined spaces. The concern of the citizens is proven and many reports or articles in the press echo it.

Regulations are evolving and the various establishments receiving the public must or will have to measure the air quality of the establishments. Indeed, a french decree of 17 August 2015 stipulates that as of 1st January 2023 all ERPs must be able to measure the Ambient Air breathed by their audiences. The deadlines differ depending on the reception structures:

January 1, 2018: for kindergartens, elementary schools, nurseries.

January 1, 2020: for leisure facilities and 2nd degree establishments.

January 1, 2023: for other establishments receiving public.

For more than 2 years now, AIC International has developed a range of aircraft, under the brand name Orium® , to monitor, measure and analyze the Ambient Air. These devices display the different data: CO2, FINE PM2 and PM10 particles, Formaldehyde, VOC, Benzene, humidity and temperature.
